The Garden
Marilena’s great passion for plant care transforms the garden of Casa Augusto into a refined Mediterranean oasis, which in every season is adorned with lush greenery, fresh and genuine fruits, enveloping scents, and vibrant colors. On the upper floor, the majestic silver cedar provides gentle shade to the entrance path, framed by a carpet of lawn and delicate blooms. The access staircase is enhanced by a large fig tree, which between late August and mid-September offers fruits of rare sweetness. To the right, the citrus grove consists of lemon, orange, and mandarin trees, symbols of Mediterranean tradition.
Adjacent to the upper floor, Casa Augusto’s vegetable garden welcomes authentic crops of tomatoes, lettuce, eggplants, and zucchinis, while the lower part opens onto a large lawn dotted with centuries-old olive trees, roses, hibiscus, and geraniums, as well as fruit trees like apricots and plums.
Immersed in this natural setting, guests can enjoy a rare atmosphere of tranquility, accompanied by the song of birds and the spectacle of shimmering reflections on Monte Solaro and the waters of Marina Piccola. Scattered among the garden’s essences, small terracotta animals, artistic creations by Marilena, add a touch of poetry and originality to this enchanting green space.
